The aim is to create a visual (non- or multilingual) theatre show in the line of WEWILLLIVESTORM. Whereas WEWILLLIVESTORM tries to restore things in their intrinsic value, MY HOUSE CHANGED INTO A BLACK SWAN AND I FLEW AWAY WITH IT explicitly wants to examine modes of observation. It is about the lack of a universal truth, ideology and ethics, about the deeper, ineffable structures that lie at the basis of the world.
“The hell of the living is not something that will be: if there is one, then it is hell that is already here, hell we live day in day out, hell we give shape through our society. There are two ways not to suffer under it. The first one is easy for a lot of us: to accept hell and become part of it, until you reach the point where you no longer see it. The second one is risky and requires uninterrupted attention and study: to look and manage to recognize who and what, in the midst of hell, is no hell, to perpetuate it, and to give it space.”
A performance with a whole lot of strings, cardboard houses, trompe l’oeils, lucid discussions between Marco Polo and the Great Kahn, and continuously changing rear walls.
