In Het litteken lip (Cicatrix Lip) each of three men receives a letter sent to him in 1790. The letters describe exactly what each man is doing and thinking at any given moment. What follows is an adventurous peregrination through fables that are as grotesque as they are philosophical. It is the beginning of a nuclear reactor in too many acts, a metaphysical thriller without metaphysics, the story of change or a machine which opens everything by speaking (even the simplest bunch of parsley). Without hope or fear.
“Het litteken lip is funny without being coarse, philosophical but never bombastic, moving but not melodramatic. (…) This play thunders like a train, rasps like sandpaper and bites like a vicious dachshund.” Liv Laveyne in Urbanmag
